Wacky, Wonderful, Wild, Wilderness

I haven't shared our furry, flurry friends with you lately. So here they are . . .
Yes, this guy below is on a clock that is nailed to a tree out back. That's so I have a timepiece for doing my grilling and smoking. We also think "he's" the one who squawks outside our bedroom window starting at 4:30 am each and every morning.

Awwwwww. Be sure to click on this to enlarge and take a close look -- they are soooooooo cute -- there are six babies.
This 4# 21" bass was caught from the dock at our community lake. Arn gets lots of bites, but this is the first big one.
No -- you're not seeing double. They are twin fawns right outside out window.
They don't call them bandits for nothing!!! This guy was sitting up in the tree driving Skeets (our dog) crazy. Thank goodness he took off -- I hope he stays gone too.
No picture -- but a couple of weeks ago the grandkids and I were coming home and rounded a bend in our community and out stepped a moose. I was so shocked we just sat there as it lumbered across the street. It was HUGE!!!! I had my cell phone to take a picture, but was too slow on the draw. Haven't seen it since.

More Beach Fun

We had so much fun on the 4th, we decided to go back again on the 12th. It was another wonderful day.

If you click on the pic to enlarge you will see Jim (Sara's dad), Christine (Sara's sister), mom, Arnie, JP's back (Sara's brother), and Bryson (don't know the other guy in the background).

This pic too shows Jim, JP, Christine, Rylee and mom.
Here we have Marc and Sara coming in to dock with the rented paddle boat. They were across the lake for an awfully loooooooooooong time!!!!
Now, wouldn't we all like to be able to do this? JP just rolls up for nap time.

Rylee met up with a friend from her day care. They had a great time.
Kinda hard to see -- but we enjoyed every minute.

4th of July

Well, here we are speeding into the end of July and I'm finally posting the 4th festivities. I'm really bogged under with things around here. Never seems to be much of a spare moment. But anyway, we all went to Bear Lake Spokane County park for a day of family fun. We started with chips and dips and finger veggies and then had smoked ribs, beans and potato salad. It was a warm, cloudy day -- just right for getting burned and tanned.
This lake is very convenient for us -- only 10 minutes from the house
Uncle Steve helps Rylee get in the water.
One of four platforms that Cody loves to dive from. He's a full-time fish at the lake.
Everyone's having a great time!!!!
